Our Team At Anchor Psychology

Janelle Bull, M.A., LMFT

At some point during our lives, we all go through moments of pain. Everyone encounters obstacles from time to time, and occasionally these challenges appear insurmountable. The good news is that assistance is available. My expertise lies in providing support to couples, families, and individuals who are either undergoing significant changes or seeking such changes. I specialize in working with couples experiencing high levels of conflict, those facing the complexities of committing to or ending a long-term relationship, new parents, families grappling with conflicts, individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, fears, and low self-esteem, as well as those coping with grief and bereavement. As a direct and practical therapist, my aim is to facilitate the resolution of issues and offer assistance.

Have you been feeling like your past trauma or negative life experiences have been rearing its head in your present-day life? Maybe you're noticing that old habits are starting to effect your current relationship, stress levels, and anxiety. My role as your therapist is to provide support, ask questions, and fill your tool belt with techniques and coping skills that will assist in healing your past. As a trauma-informed therapist, I recognize the importance of investing time to form a strong and trusting relationship with each and every client.

I work primarily with highly motivated, young adults who may be experiencing trauma, PTSD, or a failure to launch. Being trained in EMDR, Trauma-Focused CBT and DBT, I take a human-first approach, focusing on the therapeutic relationship as a whole, rather than just the "clinical" problem itself.

Taking the first step into therapy is immensely challenging and sometimes scary. For each client I honor the courage it takes to make that first step. The needs of each individual can vary greatly and as I result I tailor my therapeutic approach to each client as an individual. My hope is to provide every client with a space for them to feel safe to explore themselves more fully and navigate the challenges they are facing.
